Assuming the company (Alexander?) could do this in suede too?  Possibly in the IH type I or II body?

Yeah, it would.  Let's wait until I get the Denim Type II's from H and I can take it from there.

Has there ever been talk of doing an IHD01 or something similar in black warp/white weft denim ala the 1634s?

It's possible we could do an IHSH-76 out of the same denim as IHSH-33-black, but I'd need a load of Yay's! to make it happen…

Given recent frigid temps here winter gear is on my brain. That said any chances of a flannel lined IH-806? Would also love a nice heavy lined duck mechanics jacket. My cold weather work gear is shot and Carhartt is garbage these days

                                      Two thoughts.

First, what's everyone's response to the indigo warp/grey weft? Any detractors? Personally, I'd like to see more denim in this.

Second, has anyone seen a [dark] grey warp with an indigo weft? In my mind, seems like a pretty cool idea, but maybe it's actually awful live.

I hope I'm not speaking of insanity here.

My SGs are gray weft. I love it. Unbleached natural is also appealing though.

                                        Think it, be it.

I love the 20 oz indigo warp, grey weft denim.  That may be a Self Edge exclusive and not available for other projects, though.  Grey warp, indigo weft could be interesting, but I think anything other than indigo or black is going to move slowly.  IH did a grey denim a couple of years ago and I don't think it was a strong seller.

Haraki is kind of a traditionalist about denim, too.  It took Giles years to convince him to do the double indigo.  I think Haraki said it was a nice blue twill fabric, but not actually "denim".

Yeah, I recall reading that. I definitely have no itch to see weird implementations for the sake of pure novelty, but I do like to meditate on peculiar ideas.

On that note, I think the grey weft is great and gives the jeans a bit of a more somber tone, while still retaining a close resemblance to indigo/white.
