Can get them bigger aswell. They are sawcut teeth and dont get caught or pull hair like the shitty molded plastic ones -
I gotcha

There are plenty out there, none right?

After searching the Izola fine & dandy combs pictured in the link G provided, it seems those are simply brass plated. This spurred a deeper search and while I can't seem to find a ready made solid brass comb, I did come across someone that makes custom metal combs. The company is Metal Comb Works, to which I've inquired about this one off. Will update once I have details to share

thinking about getting one now that i am growing a beard- want to keep my neck clean so i'll actually be shaving (odd that getting a beard led to more shaving by me). do the pros of straight razor shaving outweigh the cons?

I would say the pros of straight and double edge ( DE ) razors outweigh regular Gillette cartridge type razors.
Using a DE or straight set up can really help eliminate ingrowing hairs. Cartridge razors gave me very bad razor burn and ingrown hairs. This is the reason I moved to shaving with a DE razor and then progressing on to the straight.
Learning a proper shave technique including preparation is where you get most benefit, whether this be with a DE or straight razor.

Picked up some new shave cream and aftershave balm from a small German company called Tabula Rasa. Their products have picked up a bit of a cult status across the shave forums, excellent products but difficult to find. They now have a UK importer so I picked up some of the "Shave Punk" scented cream.
Very impressed by it, proper manly ( Grrrrrr!! ) smell, no hints of anything floral in this scent, wood notes and spices involved here.
The cream is almost like a mousse in consistency. A hazel nut size piece of cream worked into the end of your shave brush is all you need, I have been using a shave bowl to work the cream into a lather before applying.
Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a new shave cream.
