Photograph and Camera talk

I have been using a fairly cheap Sony DSLR a290 the past three years (and treated it bad, it fell into seawater twice). Since three weeks I noticed that the camera gets hot and empties the battery when I turn it off. A second battery showed the same effect.
-Do you think it can be fixed and is worth it?
-What would be a good option for a new camera around 500€? Eos 1200D, Eos 700D or Nikon D5200?- I don't need a fancy Display, video function, W-Lan or the like, but would be willing to upgrade from the cheapest models to a slightly more expensive camera, if I can get a better Picture Quality…
Thanks, if anybody can enlighten me.

i dont know what the price of canons are in europe. but i would recommend the 7d. canon has been my go to for cameras (film and digital) after i found nikon's dslr too complicated for me. it's a very decent camera although the thing that lets it down is that it doesnt have a full frame sensor. otherwise, it's everything i could've asked for that would match my fav 5d mk 2 just without the full frame.

Took a walk around lower Manhattan & over the Brooklyn bridge last week, still learning but enjoy taking photographs.

that's a nice film camera 4c. may i ask if it's full manual or aperature/ shutter speed priority?
i currently have a canon av-1 with aperature priority. though it's a little hard shooting cause i don't have a readily available place to wash my own film. -
just wondering. do you shoot film often? what film do you normally use?

Have your own darkroom 4c? Or sending them out?

All StaR…great prints!!
Thanks!
@tmg:Great prints, love the nails!
Thanks, It’s the affect of many yard sale signs. The community that happens around telephone poles is fascinating. It’s an entire unofficial economy.

My school has a great dark room.

Our Nikon D3 has 230K shutter actuations. The mean time between failure on a D3 is 300K. So I just found a back up on a local auction site Nikon D750 with 239 shutter actuations. It will be hand delivered shortly…..Think I'll take it to Thailand to try and learn how to use it.....
