I don't know about the heavy contrast though. I wonder if I should treat the natural welt with some product to speed up the darkening process a bit…

hey @mental floss; each to their own but i love the contrast. I have owned trickers in the past with commando soles and dark leather uppers so no contrast and then i've owned the same boot but on leather soles with natural colour welt and they "pop". i guess its about personal preference and how you feel in boots that "shout" more than others. i go down the "shouty" road rather than the understated road if i have a choice.
