I don't know the answer to either question….I will get a mail from Tom when the version 1 is ready, I will order version 2 in about 6 weeks, for delivery sometime in the Spring, we will be making a brown duck version too.  I will know the difference in sizing once I get both versions here.....

Will both of the Type IIs have a back buckle?

Still don't get/ like pockets for shirts. Isn't that what a jacket's for?.. I guess I also don't get the concept of a shacket…

Agree - i just view it as a lightweight jacket.  Same for the 76, I wear it open with t-shirts a lot.

I'd have never owned a shacket if I didn't find the 45 for a steal and i love it. I still hate the way hand pockets look on shirts but they are damn functional.

What about its length?
ive seen flat head type II's that look like they run small or short i should say, but when i saw the TW type II i was pretty excited

When it arrives, we'll know….But from memory when I tried it on, it had the feel of a type III in cut, not a type II
