@steelworker such a great time here but I am excited about getting home to cold weather (well by our standards, certainly nowhere near freezing!)  The contrast of high rise, swish hotels and shopping malls and the backstreet sights of our cycle tours was quite something.

It was funny when it rained @twin we got soaked before we put the plastic raincoats on - and we were already sweaty - so they stuck to our skin, yuk!

Have decided after taking 2 x 20 km cycle rides in Bangkok in my stride I really should get my cycle out more often in Gosport

Fantastic pics, this event is definitely added to my "must do" list.

when you all decide to go, i'll hop on a plane there. meet up is a must especially when most of you are +8hrs a time difference away.

why does this year's event doesnt feel that packed? i remember it being much more crowded last year.

Looks more nicely spaced out this year IMO. Last year's photos look like a more crowded space, this year looks like each vendor has more space…which is a good thing

My rough sums make it 2x as busy…..

more space, more crowd, 2x as chaotic and busy. haha. it is a good thing though G. the fanfare there is amazing.

On our last day in Bangkok we popped into the latest (the ninth) Pronto store.  It is located in a new mall called Central Embassy, the architecture is brilliant…..

I was in Bangkok in late 2011 and I think Pronto had only store at that time somewhere near Siam Square. Must be doing something right! It was a pretty good shop even then. Their brand list is excellent now.

Giles I travel to Thailand once/twice a year, always end up missing the Pronto Carnival  :(. Missed this one by about 4 weeks as we spent new year in BKK.
Ready to book some flights for later this year, any ideas on the 2015 Carnival dates yet? Determined not to miss this one!
