    @Megatron1505:

    I did, wearing them now post soak, the waist is now exactly 38", which is fine but Max says the denim has plenty of stretch so that is a concern. Fit elsewhere has tightened up nicely, can't be bothered to measure it this late at night though.

    They are pretty slim but not overly so, which works for me because I'm not built for skinny jeans. I'm going to wear them for a few days before deciding whether to give them a machine wash to clear up any remaining shrink.

    any pics old man!? 😉

          I hope the shoes are really, really comfortable.  Otherwise there is truly no excuse for wearing something that hideous.

                      Pretty bummed out….I've been wearing my 710's for only a little bit over a month now and noticed that the crotch seam has pretty much ripped apart. I'm surprised that this happened so quickly given how new the jeans are (I've been wearing my Iron Hearts and Strike Golds for well over a year and never had this issue). Has anyone else had this happen? Any recommendations for fixes?

                        Does Strike Gold use poly-cotton? IIRC, Samurai does not (or rather, uses pure cotton threads even for the crotch seams).

                          Nope

                            True, Samurai does not. But the stitching is not as weak as you might think. My 500XX are almost 2 years old and I had only to do minor repairs twice (not in the crotch, only frontpockets).

                              That's good to know. What's the overall wear level across the two years? I know you have a lot of gear, so I assume the Sammy saw at least a bit of rotation.

                              Thanks

                                I should add, that the hem looks terribly unraveled, but as I had them chainstitched I can't blame that on Samurai.
                                And as I am too lazy to restitch it by hand, I always wanted to get another chainstitch done. But it held up nevertheless, so I didn't rush it.

                                  They look fantastic. I'll probably pick up a pair of Samurai in the future. If I do it'll most likely be the 15oz as I have more than enough heavyweight jeans from IH (and the weather here isn't really conducive for heavier gear).

                                    The 15 oz are nice, but I prefer the fading of the 17 oz. However, you won't get all the cuts in every denim. Hit me up via PM if you Need more Information regarding the fabric or models.
