Serious jacket!! Awesome @mclaincausey

Giles, what's the likelihood of al ever getting their hands on some shinki?
-
Thanks gents, I couldn't be happier. This steer is a wild untamed beast which promises to age beautifully.

Well. Never say never, but ridiculously unlikely. They won't bother & I don't particularly like it, so I won't source it for them….Sorry

looks good but sleeves look indeed a bit long
-
I would say they are a more than a bit long
-
I reckon that sleeves aside, the fit looks good.
Shortening sleeves is pretty straightforward. Johnson Leather in SF charge $75 to $120 for it, and that might be cheaper and easier than sending it back to Scotland.

Yes sleeve 1 to 1.5 inch longer and chest .5 to 1 size bigger, are there any near me in Los Angeles that can shorten this?
Gary at Barini Leather in Studio City (818/506-5422) is a master leather artisan. He has tailored several leather jackets for me and the quality of his work is usually better than the original manufacturer.

@khaki8 I don't own any oil pull horsehide, but do have a FQHH also from alexander. The HH doesn't need any breakin and is comfy from the get go. As for the oil pull it's a stubborn fekker. Im new to having a good quality leather jacket and almost got frustrated with this one as its so hard and got few bruises from it.
Maybe I didn't wear it often enough but slowly its starting to drape bit by bit and forming to my body especially shoulders and arms area. and I'm LOOOOVING it.
