Eyeglasses / Sunglasses Discussion
-
After trying on every pair of glasses in the world, I bought this pair.
They're a horn frame with a titanium nosepiece, and have been glazed with a pair of 1.74 index Nikon lenses. They're very light, and very comfortable.
Plus the frames were less than half price, as they were an end of line, so cost about the same as a plastic or metal pair. Optix on Broadgate in London have another pair in, made from a lighter piece of horn, and with a slightly smaller frame if anyone is interested…

Thanks @rocket and @seanocono - the new glasses are really comfortable, mainly because they're light. Their arrival was timely, as my old pair had just started to fall apart too.
The Melton shirt is lovely too. I keep on getting compliments for wearing it, which is unusual.

On question: I never ever wore glasses or sunglasses. But I really like the look and I think I want some simple sunglasses. Are Raybans a good start or 100% crap?

@JCMx800 I would skip them, quality is OKish at max, but in the end it is mass-produced, every kid is running around in it, stuff…
what style are you looking for? budget?
as always best guess is to catch the gf and try on some pairs to get a idea what works for you or not, shape wise and go from there...

@rocket you can't show me something like that…

I can recommend Tom Davies, I have a pair of their spectacles that are exquisite. Good luck on your adventure!
