John has some vulcanized sneaks coming in natural, blue, and herringbone frogskin. Guess which ones I'm getting? December timeframe.

I'm torn between the natural and camo. May have to get both….....

Hmm, where are you planning to order from MCL? I wonder if SE will get these?

Yes. SE is planning to stock them. As is this shop in Aus.

Ahh thanks indeed. I was asking John to take my money directly but either way 😃

                          Hey guys,

I'm thinking about buying some Lofgren engineer boots from Self Edge.  I asked them about sizing and Tyler recommended going TTS to my sneaker size (I wear 11.5 in Vans and Converse.)  But I wanted to ask about your experiences too.  For some other points of reference, I've worn 10 in Red Wings (though a 10.5 would really be better, the 10s are a bit small.)

Hey dude, I'm a true 9.5 and I tried on the 9's and they seemed to fit very well.  i didn't really move around as I didn't want to crease the leather, but I had no problems getting my foot in, and i also felt it "snap" into the boot.  I tried the 8.5 on and I couldnt even get my smaller foot through, its possible thats a better size for me, but doubtful.

Alternatively, I tried on your boots (the narrow ones), and I was a 27.  it was very difficult to get my foot in, but it also snapped in.  That said, the length felt great, but it seemed to squeeze the sides of my foot a little too much since my foot is not particularly slim.  I might try on the 8.5's again when I'm at se.  Hope that helps at all, I'm sure others can chime in!

I think you should at least go down a half size.  I'm a true 9.5 brannock and a 9.5 in vans (which I find to be super tts), and the 9 fit incredibly easy as I said.

I'm 9.5D in most American footwear, and digitally measured there by Red Wing, and manually on a Brannock. I have a 9.5 Lofgren, but could easily do a 9.

If you are very careful and try them on gingerly on carpet they would be returnable, at least John would take them back, and I think SE would probably take them back in exchange or for store credit.

                                  I'm a 12. And I own a 12 in the Lofgren engineers. They work well, with a thicker sock and a Superfeet 3/4 insole. But I think I'd prefer a 11.5.

Thanks guys.  I think I'll try an 11 first, SE has only one in stock, but several pairs of 11.5s.  So if the 11s are too small, it's unlikely the other ones will sell out before I could get an exchange.

Such a great boot. I tried the donkey puncher on in my usual 8 in workwear boots and they fitted great. Supercomfy the inner and outer leather is superb. Prob a 7.5 possible too but dont like it too snug in my boots

                                      Cheers,
                                      David

Smart move–I bet it will fit, you never know with feet but they generally seem to be a half size roomy.
