Alexander Leathers

I tried on the Private White x Alexander Leathers Cafe Racer today.
The jacket has these fantastic copper Riri zippers, which are a Private White VC trademark, a mustard coloured cotton drill lining, and a single pistol pocket. It's made of a soft steerhide, rather than horse.

Looks perfect on you sir!

Thanks.
I tend to be a 44 or 46, depending on the style these days. The one in the photo is a 44, and the shop assistant reckoned that the 46 (no pictures) was a better fit. I'm not entirely convinced…
I'm still figuring out a Good Wear jacket, and will probably sort that before deciding on anything else.

The copper zippers are excellent. Never seen that before.

Damn!!!!

@mclaincausey chose this wool tartan lining…
Haraki and I like it so much, that is what the production version are getting too…...

That is all I have at the mo, Will@Alexander sent it to me in feverish excitement earlier…..
There's a back story, I'll let @mclaincausey explain….

So, I spotted a 1940s-era car coat and posted a question if anyone had seen anything like it, and Giles said he could have Will make it (which I had in the back of my mind when I made the query). Giles and I went back and forth on the details of the construction and materials and this is what we came up with. The lined pockets is a stroke of genius from Giles. Very pleased with what I'm seeing–this is a coat that takes names (but no prisoners) and rocks ass.

That looks stunning, well thought out @mclaincausey @Giles

Wanna see how it looks on someone fersure. Just sitting there it almost looks like 2 coats stitched together. Im sure a fit pic will bring me around tho

It will look quite a bit different worn than flat. The pockets go to from the placket to the side seams, so they contour around your body and will look quite different than presented here. Giles. I hope, will "model" the piece when he gets a hold of it!
