related. I spoke to my Osteo today who also works in a clinic for Pain. She mentioned society as a whole is now going MRI's far too often and a lot of patients aren't trying anything and are using that as a first step to recovery instead of trying to understand their body. http://www.bodyinmind.org/clinicians-do-no-harm-pain-management/ was the article that got us talking. (I trade links with my Osteo, she damn cool, mega crush on her, and she heals me, win win!)

In the same vein,  I tried 6 weeks of Osteo on my back and neck.  No noticeable improvement, that is why I had my MRI…..Still have the pain, but at least I know what's causing it  And funnily enough, that makes me feel a lot better about it...

And on a related note.  I have a firm rule that I will not get Osteo or a massage from anyone I find vaguely attractive.  The consequences are too embarrassing to even think about….

Thanks @Snowy! This is my second full and I've done a handful of half marathons. I'm getting faster, but just barely. I was a little injured going into this one.

It was my 14th full marathon overall. The mental part is not an issue for me anymore. In fact it may hurt me as I don't train as much as I should because I know that I can do it. I should have trained more this time because I'm hurting like no other today.

I have the same problem, albeit with much shorter distances.  Fear of collapsing due to inadequate training is a hell of a motivator.
