A comedy of errors last night traveling. My connection through Denver on the ONE night they have unpassable thunderstorms in that desert in a given year. I had a meeting in the morning in California and we were a couple of hours late leaving thanks to the storm. Missed the connection, and they tried to put me on a next day flight when there was capacity on a later flight. Ranted and raved my way to an arrival at 1AM (on another delayed flight) in Sacramento and the dipshits at National car rental decided to abandon post early before the flights were done coming in. Used Avis, which took forever because I've never used them. Drove to the hotel and the highways were completely fucked up by construction. Finally get to my hotel around 2AM. Thank God Daft Punk came on the radio or I'd have gone to bed angry. Well, angrier.

After the longest and hardest year I have known whilst working for my company (out of 17 years), where people have been asked to worked longer hours for less pay and I have personally been covering three roles it was today announced that not only had the yearly bonus been scrapped, but the pay rise would be "up to" 3%.
I'm going to McDonalds to celebrate….fucking wankers
In the same announcement they told us that we'd had a record year for shipping too, but no money in the pot due to capital investment.

I had my guys cracking the shits about unfair compensation. Had the big managers in today to hear all stories. Turns out that the tooth and nail fighting I've done for them is 2-3x better than any other team in the company, and they still feel hard done by. They claim they don't get to use the time off, yet the guy complaining the loudest has had off 2 days in a fortnight, and the team of 3 has had 5 days off between them in 14 days. The execs are shocked I managed to get them the entitlements to begin with.

Two things:
- parking regulations still apply to you, even if you ride a motorcycle,
- no, you're not actually in the handicapped spot, but you're blocking the access to it, which is illegal, asshole.
I just helped a mother put her wheelchair bound son in a van- she couldn't get to the side door of the van because this prick blocked it.

The good thing about a motorcycle doing that is that it's easy for a good citizen to move the thing, very roughly, out of the way.

I drank like an eejit yesterday, resulting in a bad hangover… It's fading as we speak, but I did decide to ask my collegue to cover for me tomorrow morning.
It's a rant, cause I don't like skipping a workday unless I'm almost dying... I'll do the hours next week but still... I'm a dumbarse bastard son of a limping penguin.
