I read a post on social media the other night in which someone was asking if it was true that Rising Sun had gone out of business, does anyone know if there's any truth in that?

I sincerely hope not as even though I've never bought from them they really had some cool designs.

I actually bought a pair of their jeans and a hat from Gentry last week. The guy who helps buy for gentry said they had gone out of business. I didn't get any further details but sounds like it's probably true.

I wish I would have known you like them. Gentry had a big sale. They had brown duck, indigo duck, and hickory stripe hats for $10 each. Jeans were $40.

That's sad news. I never really got into their design aesthetic, but everything seemed really beautifully made, and the guy behind it all is clearly passionate about what he produces. Always a shame to see something like that come to an end.

I largely ignore them. Plus, they haven't been kept up to date, so the item specific tags are often inadequate, forcing people to just use the generic "FS" tag. That seems kinda useless. Oh yeah- and they don't even show up in tapatalk, making them even less useful.
