Schmidt Shirt
-
A few more from the weekend. The weather was great on Saturday, but we woke up to rain. Had to cut our short staycation down a bit.
Ended the night a little hazy with shots, margaritas and late night Mexican food. (Oktoberfest only stayed open until 6pm)

I contacted Jan directly at info@schmidtkoeln.de this week. The man is a consummate professional and is a pleasure to deal with.
I ordered a wabash work shirt as I wanted a lighter weight fabric than the IH one. He offers quite a few options in terms of reinforcements, button choices etc.
Summary of what we decided on;
- Japanese wabash fabric 5.5oz
- Navy constructional stitching
- Twin pockets
- Elbow reinforcements
- Grey MOP buttons
- No external labels
- Same measurements as the travelling shirt
Looking forward to seeing the result he comes up with. Plus I do love the look of the purple chambray!

Tour update.
After a few days of record heat it's started to be bearable again.
Our friends got back from Costa Rica and invited us over to make chocolate. I figured that was code for drinking beer & wine.
Recipes being documented.
Messes made.
I found a sideline view.

Soccer games this morning. Enjoying the soggy weather.
Game two didn't happen.
Fun was still had.
Mustache you where you got that amazing denim shirt?
-
nice @summ3rhays as always and funny pic on that soccer field. cool shirt tour in this great shirt guys.

Thanks @davito!

Very nice pics @summ3rhays.
Like the sideline perspective. Is the soccer field a rentantion reservoir or the local ice hockey rink?
-
@Aetas it is a retention reservoir to manage storm runoff. It's dry 95% of the time. It's usually only full in late spring if the snow from the mtns thaws too quickly.

Shacket start to the work week.

Rarely am I ready for work
Worked on putting the top case on my bike tonight. Also used the time as an excuse for a tail tidy and new turn indicators.
Always damn frustrating, but also fun to make a bike a bit more individualized.
Now it's time for Zzzzz's as it's just past midnight here.

Finished the St George marathon yesterday. It was a beautiful run through the desert. Time to veg and over eat in comfy clothes.
