^Wow! That is one gorgeous knife… 😘 I have the 25, on the lookout for a 21 left handed model. Hard to
find here in LA for some reason.

Agreed. Not a fan of the other inlay style Reeves uses of the two slats on the side. I say either plain or this style, or an anodized pattern.

                  See mine?

I can try to find the dude that made mine, he does all sorts of wood.

Desert ironwood scales arrived and I've installed them.

I would have never guessed that carbon and wood would look that nice together.

I'm looking for a recommendation. Do you guys have any complaints about the Zero Tolerance 0566? I'm thinking of buying it.  Or do you have other similar recommendations for that sort of Hinderer-inspired overbuilt flipper? My only concern is the 3.25" blade. I'd prefer 3.5" or 3.75". Oh, and I'd like to stay under $200. Maybe aound $150.

The half a dozen or so folders I have now are all $50 or less and Chinese made: Byrd, CRKT, Navy K series, Inron, etc. I have a Hinderer XM-24 copy that I love the ergonomics of.

Anyway, I'm looking at the next level of folders and thinking about the Zero Tolerance 0566 Blackwash. It combines US make, elmax steel, and Hinderer design for $125.

I also really like the SOG Tomcat. However, it doesn't have a clip or a flipper. Nice heavy build and Japanese blade but the design feels like it's stuck in the 1980's.

                        Thanks.

Bam! Dinosaur bone handle. It's from Santa Fe Stoneworks. Kind of unique and quirky fun. Don't know that I'll really use it too much, but what the hell.

I'm not a huge fan or expert on supposed Damascas steel, but the blade was made in Japan so I figured it must be decent.

Just get yourself a standard utility knife to start. Here's a link to the model I have. http://smile.amazon.com/Stanley-Quick-Change-Utility-Stainless-Retractable/dp/B000051WTG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412169673&sr=8-1&keywords=stanley+utility+knife

If you have any questions about leather working, shoot me a PM. Btw, if you're doing lots and lots of cutting someday, then you'll want to pick up a head knife, but for the volume of cutting you'll be doing, a cheap knife will be perfect.

Not actually a cutting instrument, nor something I carry around, but a very cool vintage piece. My father bought it in France for me.
