"sorry to derail this thread. but i personally find that as a very bad trend recently. me and my wife just find that the kids become to dependent on technology to "behave" themselves while eating etc. With my son, we really try not to use technology to entice them but rather use other means to teach them to sit well at the table for a meal. "

very good point, an also not to forget: to have a good talks during the meal
