Just noticed that the chrome on my Ateliers Ruby helmet (used as a prop in the shop) is peeling off. These things normally retail for 1000€ plus, shouldn't be happening to a so called quality item. And certainly not when said item isn't worn, just a static object.
But then again, I was surprised when it was sent straight from the factory, which is in China…
You don't always get what you pay for.

At Fish 'n' Chips this summer, @TOMBOY and @Sarina were to be seen chasing Tommy around brandishing tape measures and a note pad. We did not really take a lot of notice and soon forgot about it. Until, that is, I opened an email from @Haraki-san this morning.
I do have to admit, that I got a little emotional.
I can't even start to say what an amazing gesture this is.

I saw this Dorothea Lange photo at the Oakland airport and found it pretty powerful. I also found the workwear shown to be very interesting. Great snapshot of the incredibly hard time that was the depression.

I must stress that Haraki considers both Tommy and Emil as friends. He has met both of them on a number of occasions. So, yes it is favouritism…..
I am trying to organise a production run of kids jeans, but H needs some time to consider it and talk to the factory. Because of the smaller pattern sizes, they actually are much more difficult to make and thus cost more than adult jeans....
