              Sunday morning walk in Hamburg.

The canal lined with brick buildings is beautiful, Max. Do you know what sort of industry they served? Warehouses?

In Cali for a race with the family. I've been dragged here and there and I've enjoyed most of it. My wife jumps at the chance to have girly girl moments with my tom boy daughters. I participate in most, but I draw the line at American Girl doll crap. Anyway, I dropped them off and hit SE LA and Mister Freedom.

First food and caffeine. PB & banana waffle hit the spot.
As I was walking out of the coffee shop I stumbled upon Hollywood Trading Co. Really cool vintage leather jackets & engineer boots. Not to mention som Stevenson gear I've never seen before.

On to MF where it felt like Christmas morning. The old mixed with the new was really a sight to behold. No photos allowed so one from outside.

SELA was amazing. 89*F and I was trying on BR peacoats & the IH deck jackets.

SE, MF & Hollywood Trading. In one morning. Argh. Gotta get to Manhattan.

My friend Uwe of Ehinger Kraftrad has his studio there, he tells me they were used in the spice trade.  See some internals of his studio here:

Due to the very solid construction of the buildings for heavy shipments these warehouses are today with their central location a preferred destination for offices and start-ups. Hamburg as city within the EU with the highest per capita-income is the seat of strong companies from international trade over consumer goods to commodities.

Thanks to Carlmart Giles & Max Power for the info on warehouses. There are mill complexes in New England but I've seen none on this scale. Beautiful.
