Those Boons look much nicer to me now with those raw cord soles. Remind me of the boots that MadMonday had resoled by Brian (not boons but similar colour and same sole) and turned out awesome

somehow i'm with you on that one brooks…would go with a different (colored) heel tbh.
the different colored gum downgrades the boot imo. doesn't look that well crafted and high-end no more...sounds weird somehow, i know ^^

I used to feel the same way about the cord soles. I had only ever seen them on super cheap looking vintage boots in thift stores. But now that I have the Dr. Soles Raw Cord soles on my Scouts, I love them.

The change of sole has improved the look of those boots enormously, great choice urban.

Corded soles are a nod to the original military issue boondockers I think. Points for authenticity at least.

Im just not a fan of leather soles really. I mean if i only wore them on carpet then sure they would b ok. But leather soles in the real world just seem like a step backwards.

Do it! The leather sole helped them break in/loosen up, but soon as that was done, BAM, time to get that half sole. I can now strut around in my RC's instead of looking like I'm walking on an ice lake.

Super nice. Do you use trees in those boots? The toe appears not to have flattened much like other Vibergs with unstructured toes.
