With White’s boots loosing many of its loyal customers I would like to see you take up some of that slack Brian and build some fully custom boots from scratch (really excited that you’re doing an engineer boot). My personal interest is to find something in the next few years that will replace my Semi-Dress boots when they wear out…
Was planning on staying with White’s for life, but now it’s sold out of US hands I’d prefer a small American bookmaker such as yourself to a multinational corporation. Just something to think about for the next few years…

Hey Brian. Do you use the original Viberg lasts when resoling them?
I know some folks such as B. Nelson CANNOT replicate the original double row of stitching. I've seen a pair that was basically ruined (still functional and good-looking, but the stitching got pretty ugly).
You're very close to me so I think I know where I'll be taking my boots to in the future. Further, where in LA are you located? Can you please PM me your contact info/location so I can say hello in person one of these days.

I'm pretty sure that Viberg mostly does a stitch down welt and Brian does Goodyear welt. So it would be different either way. Shoot him an email: roleclub@yahoo.com

@SilverKing I convert all stitch down constructions to a welted construction. I can do the double stitch on your boots. Here are a pair of pair Viberg boots I resoled a couple of months ago.

These are the second pair of boots that I had Brian resole. I also had him fix the width because they were too wide for me. I'll post more about the fit once I get them. But I just want to say that Brian is really great to deal with. He answered all my questions and is a total professional. If you want an amazing resole, shoot him an email. I couldn't recommend him more highly. Great work and great to deal with.

I assume he has to take the boot completely apart to add the half-sole? I really want that sole on my RCs, but hesitate because there is so little wear on my original leather soles.
Also they fit well now, but could not be any smaller. I would have sized up but they did not make a 13 at the time - I'm probably a true 12.5. I worry that somehow a resole would impact the sizing. Do you think that should be a concern?

I just came home and found my Road Champs waiting for me outside my apartment door (yikes!). Anyway, Brian did such great work on these. I've only worn them around the house, but the resizing seems totally perfect so far. I almost wish I had another pair of boots in need of a resole so I could get Brian to hook them up!
