They're great - love the toe in particular, and the contrast of colours top and bottom. Really nice tan brown as well.

Thanks, it's their cutter toe/heel option and probably my favorite western boot. Haven't had a pair of Boulet I disliked though. They even make a packer that looks pretty nice that I've considered..

Rocky's shop is a few blocks from my house. Things have changed quite a bit since he exchanged gunfire with a couple of guys robbing him outside of it.

I see you came around on the appeal of the box toe.

And are those fancy designer Wranglers?

Aye. I got the John Wayne toe. These boots are so comfortable and I'm really pleased with the rough out too. I think it will age very nicely.

The jeans are actually TWXB01 🙂 they're a touch too short with These boots but seem to work well on a horse.

Nice choice Zach.. I'm obviously partial to the blunt box/cutter toe myself. Like the toe bug over the roughout too

Thanks gents. They feel better and better everyday too. It's nice to be able to break them in on a ranch.

Here's something quite unique. Pirarucu skin boots by Boulet. Not sure if I like them or not, but definitely a different flesh. Should be super tough too. What do ya think @Chris ? Need a pair for your collection?

Hmmm, didn't know they were. Seems those caught in the Amazon basin are, but the fish has been introduced in other areas and is considered an invasive species in some places. Boulet is typically above the boards on where their leathers are sourced, even eliminating their line of elephant as over harvesting has become such an issue. Curious where these are sourced now, will have to look into them further

Saw some at the Lucchese store; they look a lot like anteater.  The guy at the store said the hides are really thin, which isn't a surprise, I guess.  Seems like a novelty, especially if they're being over fished and are going to be listed as endangered.

Personally, my preference is for bullhide, shark or simple cowhide.  I also like elephant, which is only sourced from national governments that obtain the hides from animals that are naturally deceased or culled in accordance with international conservation practices.  Trade is tightly regulated under the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species (CITES) treaty.

I like kangaroo. No danger of our runnign out of roos, and a great leather.
