This is a 1930's 43200 I have just been offered.  I'm in love, but I think I have to offer it to Daniel (DC4) or Haraki, 2 would be a littel excessive…...

Thanks Lando.  I have just offered it to Daniel, if he does not want it then I'll offer it to Haraki, if he does not want it, well, I may just be tempted.  The 43200 is the grail….G

A bit late checking in here, but Giles, the second detail pic (back on Aug. 27) in the 'Fishing room' seems to show the drive belt a bit out of alignment.  Perhaps it's been adjusted since then?  Hate to see it either fly off at speed or wear out prematurely–it may be a bitch to find one that size.

                      Ni!

well done. I know the Union comes with the automated hem folding thingemme - does it tell you how wide the folded part of the hem has to be or is this an adjustment / setting that you make ?

Beats, it tells me nothing, this is a voyage of self discovery!!!

                                  1)  The folder thingy is an optional extra
                                  2)  The one that I have has the compressed air option, which is a pain at the mo, as I don't have compressed air piping that fits the input on the machine table that distributes the compressed air to the places that it needs to get to.
                                  3) I worked out that I can bipass the compressed air option (if I want to) and re-engineer so that  the 2 functions that the compressed air automates will then be manual.  I worked this out by looking at photos of Harakis machine which does not have the compressed air upgrade.
                                  4) Once I have solved the compressed air issues, I can then see more clearly what adjuster does what and then work out how (it it is possible at all) to change the width of the folded part.
