IHVB-05 - The Wild Ones - Iron Heart/Viberg Engineer Boot Collaboration

Keen eye! Yup… One is black and one is brown which leaves two possibilities.

1. ironheart quality control has slipped considerably.
2. I was so torn between which color that I went to the reckless extreme of purchasing both.

...which one sounds more likely?

I would appreciate any sizing recommendations. I am an 11 in Alden Indy.  I am a 10.5 in the Iron Heart x Viberg service boots. The latter boots are perfect with an athletic socks, and tight, but not uncomfortably so with hiking socks.  I am selling my 11 Road Champs because of really bad heal slippage even with an insert.  Any thoughts on sizing the wild ones would be great.

I actually sold my RC's because of this reason. Are the ankles more 'fitted' in this Viberg last? Do you consider the shaft to be wide or thin?

If it helps. I'm 11.5 Alden Indy, 11 in Viberg service boot (work toe last) and the size 11 wild ones fit me perfectly.

Those are really sharp and I don't like engineers

They are. The only things I'd change would be adding an inch to the shaft (shut up D) and I think the straps would look better if they came to a point instead of being rounded at the end (an easy modification to make). I'm proud of myself for not jumping on these.

Every time I look at engineer boots they look more and more  appealing to me. I'd really like a pair of the himel/ace ones I've seen pics of. They probably don't get made very often, though.  These are really awesome too
