I'm a medium in the IHV 05. The measurements are similar but this vest has more taper. I'm thinking it might be close. Any advice?

Don't have the IHV 05, but PtP is the same and the opening is just 0.6 inch smaller on the 07. Depends how much room you actual have with the 05 and how much you need. I'm fine with a snug fit, when closed…

I usual buy most IH-Shirts / all Jackets and all Vests in Medium. So this one as well. It feels fine with just a tee and snug, but not uncomfortable with the hoodie under, as above.

My Review: 17oz is not exactly "light" and the 4 front pockets (plus plates) seem to double the denim armour front layer. This vest gives you a very enjoyble "Sons of Anarchy" look and makes you want to sell weapons or do other nasty things…
I'll try to be quiet.

I agree, this vest makes me want to do nasty things too… great review... glad you were able to grab one of these.  Def. one of my favorite IH products ever (except that damn lefty zipper).
