Went to the docs yesterday, pushing me to see a pain specialist on the 29th and ordering a sedated MRI. Don't know what bothered me more, the thought I might need another surgery, or the thought of impending torture from the pain specialist which will likely include a series of shots in the damaged levels of my spine. So I got REALLY drunk. Now I'm hungover and stressed out….fucking brilliantly exectuted JD!

It's more a matter of following up every possible form of treatment before they push me to a surgeon. I had a similar series of shots in my neck prior to my first surgery, they weren't fun and did little to alleviate my problems. I will try to convince them to go a different route this time if one exists. I surely wouldn't classify any of it as fun, but it is what it is, and I put myself here. I try not to complain about it too much, but there's times I just really need to vent and clear my head.
Eta: I do appreciate the attempted empathy. I hope nobody here ever has to deal with anything like this.

After 10 years of not knowing what I wanted to do, drifting from dead end job to dead end job, going $30k in debt on a useless bachelors degree, Im finally on my way to finishing up trade school. Im majoring in robotics and loving it. This week, a major international tire manufacturer offered me a spot in its scholar program. Basically, they pay for your school, give you insurance, and give you a part time job training at their facility while you finish your degree. When you graduate, you become a full time controls tech starting at like 60k.
Im blown away by what I've been able to accomplish by working my ass off at this trade school. Two years ago I was broke, sick and directionless. Most of my other friends that attended university with me are working at pizza hut.
It finally seems like I've gotten my shit together. I mean I'm still needlessly sweating small things like the physical and the drug test (even thought i don't do drugs) but i feel like, at 29 years old I've finally become an adult.
So now what do i do?

Looking for a new cap for summer (being a bald man these things are essential), and every single one I really like the design of is a fucking trucker cap. These do nothing for us baldies, and should not be worn by anyone over the age of 18, apart from truckers.

Took my kid out to the country club here for Easter lunch yesterday and ended up leaving my rayban aviators that I have had for nearly 10 years on the table. Called this morning to see if the busboy found them and turned them in but to no avail. So incredibly bummed right now, they have been an everyday staple in my wardrobe for soo long that they felt like part of me. So I guess it's time to begin the quest to find another perfect pair of sunglasses.

Yeah… I'm picky... I have a ton of others... Some McQueen persols, a few other ray ban aviators, and othe miscellaneous but those ones were just exactly perfect.... Normally I buy and then they just sit cause they aren't quite right

The fact that some poor animal died for these shoes is horrific. I understand that leather comes from dead animals, but it's done in, what I personally think, as a respectful manner and meant to last. These are just a shock meant to be tossed after effect has passed. Tried unsuccessfully to find the source.
