The Flat Head

No I meant GMB

Ben has been washing his jeans frequently, so they look pretty different from the usual ''six months, one hot soak'' Flat Head that you see a lot of. In fact, most of TFH's showcase faded pairs that they have in their promo materials and in their shops are heavily-washed pairs. The denim really holds onto its indigo.
-
That's still pretty rapid fading it seems, though I haven't owned a pair of FH yet. Which cut is that?
These are the 3009s, which are a perfect mix of classic and modern for me. If I didn't have these, I would definitely have gone for the 3005s, but as I don't wear boots these are the better choice for me. Echoing sm, imo these hold their indigo well. A real quality pair all around for sure.
-
I thought either 09 or 05. Yeah compared to my SGs, which are months older than those but only soaked twice and washed twice, those are pretty faded.
-
I do too, the vintage shade and fade from more frequent washing versus the typical high contrast I've seen on FH is a welcome change. It looks like whatever you do to the 3xxx it just looks good.

Here's an update on my SKB-70 horsehide boots, after I cleaned and conditioned them today. The color's changed to a really nice red-brown, I'm really happy with how these are coming along.
New, back in November last year:

The 42 can be smaller than you'd expect. Nem has a 44 for sale here I think. I had to get a 44 and shrink it. I'm a 40 in American and usually a 42 in Japanese. Good luck in your search it is a terrific shirt.
-
I have 40 in Japanese work shirts. A little to tight for a work shirt type fit for me. A 44 might be to baggy. Ill check it out thou.

Rivet and Hide website says they have a 42 in stock.

Crap. I ordered a 40 knowing it's prolly going to be to tight. I'll check it out monday. I might be exchanging it for some new jeans and I'll contact rivet and hide for 42 if needed. Thanks guys.

Initial soak complete on RJB's I picked up at SE. Tried on a few pair and this was the stand out. At 13.5 oz it'll be nice in the summer heat to rotate with the MBB's.
I met one of the women that hems SE jeans while out shopping the previous day. She was nice enough to put a note with the chopped hem. SE really does live up to the hype. Denim Mecca for sure.

Jeans look great Summ3r!
