Thanks against gents; Anesthetist these are 32. I wear a 33 in Iron Heart.

The fabric on these is light, crispy, and has a sheen that I really enjoy, which looks really pretty, especially at the selvedge outseams. I was going to hem these, but the outseam is so beautiful I think I will just cuff. This is a great spring/summer work pant.

Damn, I'm also a 33 in IH and the gent at MF talked me into a 34. I still like them, but they are pretty large in the leg. I know they aren't meant to be slim, but they aren't that flattering. I might give them a hot wash to try to get any residual shrink hit and if not I might sell em and get a 32.

the chinos are a 50's inspired cut, its all ok i went in my usual 30 and the cut being a bit fuller doesnt bother. In fact i love the authentic touch of it

A i like how it fits you, the chinos are meant to fit fuller imho and the waist seems to fit you fine does it?

Not gonna lie, Anesthetist, they are very close to not fitting me in the waist–I can't get them wet and will need to dry clean them. Yours are actually more correct sizing, but I really love the fit of my downsized pair. I also love the sheen and think that would diminish in water. But these get wet or I eat a cheeseburger, I probably have to sell.

I like the way yours fit though.

Thanks guys, I feel a bit better about them. They are in the trusty SpeedQueen right now getting a hot wash so I will have to see if they shrink a bit more.

No need for crossed fingers, that's a slam dunk.  Cant wait to see them.  I LOVE mine but I do wish they had some rubber on the bottom.  And please, do tell what you have asked him to do?!?!?

Vibram 705/700, single midsole, cuban heel. Think I ended up opting for white stitching, not quite sure. I speak no JP and the shop no English. Was a very interesting morning, even with a pre-filled in work order. 1-2 month wait.

Very interesting little shop, great area, fun morning. Am sure I'll love what I get back. Pics to come of the visit later on…(will need to find the right thread to not shit this one up if possible)

Fukurokuju is located in the old Yoshiwara pleasure quarter. The pleasure quarter doesn't exist per se today, but there are still a lot of shady looking gentleman's clubs in the area.

And yes, after the wash they do look they fit better. I was going to grab the 34" in those but waited to long. 34" is officially gone now!

I did get lucky and scored a 40 N1-Troy though from a long time looking I should add. From EBay though.. Looking forward to this Aussie winter now.

Thanks for sharing the pics - way cool. Reminds me of Tokyo when I was there as a student in 1982.  Definitely not the "trendy" part of town.  What a great trip.  You are so lucky you can do this on the company's dime.
