Dogfish head theobroma courtesy of jd and the accompanying meal of tomatillo roasted pulled pork enchiladas, topped with mole sauce and served with a citrusy black bean and corn salad with cilantro and avocado.  A really tasty and interesting beer, and the perfect type of food to go with it. Wanted to have berries and fresh vanilla crema for desert, but there was no room

Edit to include detail shot for seul, even with the shit iPad quality (camera died, that last word is annatto). I will spare you the detail shot of the pulled pork

Glad you enjoyed it, had the White Bark and a salad (sorry no pics) in protest of the cold last night, good stuff.

Beer of the night is an old favorite.
It's crazy to me the trouble I had to go through to get this when I was deep into craft beer in 09 or so and was able to pick it up at a supermarket last week. For those that don't know, Pennsylvania has some archaic beer distribution laws. The loosening/bending/loopholing of those along with the propagation of craft beer has done wonders in the last few years.

My favorite stupid PA beer law was that you couldn't buy a six pack.  Has that changed yet?

Mixed too many brews last night. Started at Arcadia with Big Dick's Old Ale and Cereal Killer, moved to the Cricket Club where it was Founder's Breakfast Stout, and finally some Bell's Oberon at a little hole in the wall. Super hung over, but such a great time.

Had the Oberon and pretty sure the Founders,  but the Cereal Killer sounds interesting.

What amazes me is the price of beer in PA. My brother was living in Pittsburgh, and the beer was almost double what it is in Missouri.

Both the brews at Arcadia were really good. Unfortunately I decided Oberon was a good fashion choice as well as a drink, as I emptied half a glass on my 25s and now need to wash. 😠

Interesting info on Pa, is it alcohol taxes that push so high? Dogfish Head is produced there, which is never cheap, but not much worse here than some Founders, Arcadia, or Dark Horse, which are local.
