Beer of the night is an old favorite.
It's crazy to me the trouble I had to go through to get this when I was deep into craft beer in 09 or so and was able to pick it up at a supermarket last week. For those that don't know, Pennsylvania has some archaic beer distribution laws. The loosening/bending/loopholing of those along with the propagation of craft beer has done wonders in the last few years.

My favorite stupid PA beer law was that you couldn't buy a six pack.  Has that changed yet?

Mixed too many brews last night. Started at Arcadia with Big Dick's Old Ale and Cereal Killer, moved to the Cricket Club where it was Founder's Breakfast Stout, and finally some Bell's Oberon at a little hole in the wall. Super hung over, but such a great time.

Had the Oberon and pretty sure the Founders,  but the Cereal Killer sounds interesting.

What amazes me is the price of beer in PA. My brother was living in Pittsburgh, and the beer was almost double what it is in Missouri.

Both the brews at Arcadia were really good. Unfortunately I decided Oberon was a good fashion choice as well as a drink, as I emptied half a glass on my 25s and now need to wash. 😠

Interesting info on Pa, is it alcohol taxes that push so high? Dogfish Head is produced there, which is never cheap, but not much worse here than some Founders, Arcadia, or Dark Horse, which are local.

It's very serious though… And probably top 5, maybe top 3 material for me...

It is an extremely serious beer, and I'd be hard pushed to find 5 better. I'm drinking the numero uno of Trappiste beers on Friday night when I have time to give it my full attention, will report back.

Oh: and in its category, the Weizen-Eisbock would definitely be a top 3 beer... Tbh, I'd have issues trying to figure out what category it'd supposed to fit in... "A complete, 4-course meal"...
