I'm able to go for one day in July, can't remember the date though, I'll check.
I talked to the head balliff of my river (and holder of the Colne record, 17+lbs) he said that rolling meat/freelining was the tactic to use here in the summer either off the bank or wading.

Paula and I have come away for a few days.  We are on the Welsh/English borders staying in the beautiful Hall House dating from the 14th century.  It was recommended to us by @simon and what a great call - thanks.
