Thanks man. I have a bunch of the leather swatches laying around. After fiddling with them for awhile the Otter seemed to be fairly sturdy but also still malleable like CXL. As far as the CXL upper, I'm sure you can attest to how easily it conforms to your foot/ankle. I feel like it's the best of both worlds. I like getting a durable leather for the toe/heel and getting the soft CXL for the upper.

Good thinking, been debating a black otter build and it's good to see it on a boot, it feels nicely hardy. The black edge looks great. Look forward to seeing how they take shape.

nice images of a great build. black is a b!tch to capture & looks as if you did a wonderful job.

i would go with option # 3

flat black waxed laces. it would suit the boot better than the leather or the round boot laces. . . . at least until they get all scuffed up, then the leather laces are the way to go
