I've been listening to the new Kevin drew album "darlings" for most of the day.  First impressions are that it's a really good album for a lazy day, and that if you are a fan of broken social scene you will immediately find yourself comfortable listening to this album. It's kind of like catching up with an old friend. Some of my favorite broken social scene recordings have been the pared down versions on radio shows and live, as they really showcase Kevin's abilities for writing catchy melodies and great hooks.  I find that this often gets lost in the cacophony of sound that is your general bss recording (not that I don't love the songs this way as well). This album showcases that side of his songwriting really well, and I think it will grow on me and become on of my favorites this year for sure.

I've been getting into vinyl recently. Wen to Half Price Books today and picked up about 20 records….including Led Zeppelin I and IV for $0.50 apiece!

Just listened through I.....there isn't a bad track on the whole album. damn.
