well not exactly, just this one 😃
if i can trust the sales-person, they were able to buy it for cheap as well. let me see if i can upload the "info chart" of it…

final choice? don't have one atm. would love the A5, but wouldn't want to spend that much on it (even it isn't "much" when talking about this particular car). missing some space for the passengers in the back and 5 doors would be a plus as well...hesitating mofo i am, i know -.-

That's the same as a base a5 in the states, basically.

well consider that against SGD$271,950 for a 2.0 tfsi a5 in singapore. that'll work out to $271k USD. 😃

thankfully i'm in perth now and prices for cars aren't that ridiculous and it's about the same as the us or europe. just not within my budget now. haha 😛

it's really insane. the govt taxes the cars so much. on top of that i haven't added in costs of owning one. yeah really glad i did. lol.

on the other hand finn, the new c class dont look too shabby at all. might wanna consider perhaps 😉

^ On the surface those prices look ridiculous, but you only see part of the story there.  When comparing prices in different countries you need o take into account the average salary and the tax regime.  Singapore has a policy of extremely low compulsory taxation and extremely high discretionary taxation.  So you get more take home pay to spend on what you choose…..

Oh, and Paula and seriously considered moving to Singapore because we would be better off money-wise than we are in UK….Even with booze, cigs, cars etc etc costing far more than in Europe....

I rent it on a 3+23 and it costs me feck all - amazing but true…  AND as oversupply continues, it will only get better (cheaper).  I was talking to one of my customers yesterday who runs a fleet of high end cars.  Audi offered him a (and this is simply stunning) buy-one-get-one-free on any pair of"S's" recently....

A 3+23 is a 24 month rental period with 3 monthly payments due in month 1.  In UK you can get all sorts.

I had an Audi A4 once on 3+6
Our Fiat 500 is on 3+36

I like a 3+23 because I only need to pay for 1 service and I do not need to change the tyres before handing it back.  And if I don't like it I only have to keep it 2 years….

sounds like a nice thing to do…so actually (with the 3+23) you only have your car for 2 years, then you can "choose" a new one?!
