Still -16 F without wind chill in Minneapolis area. Second day of school closed this week. They have had 5 school closings this winter.
It is getting old.
It is nice and warm in the schools not sure why it they keep closing them we can handle it.
7 year old gets to go hang out at work with dad.
here is a picture of us doing some tubeing this last weekend we had 11 people on this tube. Was a blast .

All of Houston has shut down pre-emptively for Snowmageddon: The Ice Storm Of Doom. It's currently 33F and overcast.
This city is so stupid.

Not as bad as Minneapolis. It's -7 Fahrenheit (in other words, a typical January day) and sunny and everything is shut down.

Yesterday afternoon, every authority in the region began making the decision to close. A couple of school districts even made the call to close tomorrow as well. So far, we've had some light misting type rain and from yesterday's high of 57, it's gone down to (just barely) freezing. Tomorrow, it's supposed to be sunny and in the upper 50s.
Even by our sad standards, this is a pathetic overreaction.

we normally get 2-3 inches of snow which cripples the country ,trains stop ,people dont make it to work ,schools close then it turns brown and slushy and we all complain then aftewr about a week the country returns to normal

Thanks finn, I love that table too. It was made by a former member of the house specifically for that space. I forget what kind of wood it is, but it's very heavy and the thing is definitely over engineered. It's completely unable to leave that room actually…
It's a good size house. It holds the 18 of us fairly comfortably...
