Just saw Neutral Milk Hotel, amazing show. Before they came on Tim Robins sat down next to us.

            I've changed my mind…..

I am not going to kill the sbg denim.

I have initiated a new run of the denim, so the 555-03 is reprieved.

Just got to decide what other cuts to do.

            Shall I do a IH-634S in it?

My vote is for a 666sbg please!

My face is still melted. IMO In The Aeroplane Over The Sea is one of the greatest albums ever written. Jeff Mangum's voice was beautifully haunting and the band was a well orchestrated chaotic mess, it was wonderful. Tim Robins was just a huge bonus to complete an amazing night. Time to stop bs'ing I'm off to go skiing.

The views on cannabis in this country are changing rapidly. Democrats are pushing for legalization and republicans are not missing their chance to jump On the train. Rick perry, the governor of texas, the one state I wouldn't even drive through with weed on me, has come out and said he is for decriminalization. That is about equal to hitler coming out and saying he is Jewish, if he was still around. Glad to see that even the hypocrites are changing their tune.

Republicans are fucked when it comes to this issue. When 60 some percent of Americans are for legalizing, that basically means that everyone that voted for Obama plus 10 percent of republicans that didn't vote for Obama are for legalization. That is a big statement and republicans know it's a huge problem for them. Even Eric holder came out yesterday saying banks and credit card companies are going to be givin the green light to accept these companies money. My jaw about hit the floor when I read it. When influential republicans like rick perry start singing a new tune, shit is changing fast.

There are a lot of people with money wrapped up in prohibition, so there will be some resistance, but there are also a lot of people who are sick and tired of folks being locked in cages because of a harmless plant. It is interesting to see so much social change these days.

Look at the specific bio energies Exxon is pursuing, and understand how hemp oil production would benefit it, and you understand the tune change. There wasn't a big push for solar or wind here either until those patents were secured. Left and right keep us arguing so we don't see we have become debt slaves, or that our rights in this context are fantasies. Just my opinion though

You can't patent a plant, which is the biggest issue for large companies. And you cant patent organic compounds. Companies can produce hemp oil, but I'm not sure how that can be proprietary. Unless they are putting in additives.

That was the whole issue DuPont had with it. Nylon was patentable and hemp fiber was not.

The only way weed is dangerous is if a bail falls on your head.

You can't patent plants? Tell that to Monsanto, who have managed to catalogue and patent heirloom seeds. Beside that, you over shot my comment. The patents I am talking about have to do with high yield methods of production, not the plant itself. Now if you want to throw in what will happen if they GM hemp, we have a completely different game. It's about cornering the market before the market exists now.

Monsanto can patent plants that only have their terminator gene in them. This will never happen with cannabis. The chance for open cross pollination of cannabis is not the same as open field cross pollination of vegetables and shit. Quality cannabis production is always in controlled environments, not open fields exposed to the elements.  And if they want to have gmo hemp, be my guest, I don't eat hemp plants so if I'm not ingesting something with gmo in it I'm not worried about it. If you want to add a gene to the hemp plant that makes it more resilient, that sounds smart to me.
