funny, this is similarly how i felt when i finally got my first IH shirt. Guess I was too scared to be wearing head-to-toe IH. That 301 fit is great BTW.

Thanks guys. Upon further review of the 9301s the top block was too loose and the knee was just not working out (too tight). I ended up trading them for some Roy SF01s. I recently picked up some Busters though and they are perfect.

veloaudio i've got the exact same pair of NB996s…I've had them since September in a pretty small daily rotation so they've seen a good bit of wear....they still look almost perfect!

Thanks for sharing, Nate. Most of my denim is currently being repaired at Self Edge…so this is helping me cope with my withdrawal.

Looks like dropping it at the PDX store was a good idea because it's only a week turnaround!

random things i've  noticed on my 555 03s (34)  & 9301s (33). i think the 9301s are a bit roomier in the top block & tapper less than the 03s, but i didn't measure yet to get "proof".  hell for all i know it's just the denims used causing the difference in feel.

the patch on my 03s have taken on a peanut butter color & i luv it:

I think it's great!  I have some 9301s and 301s07BKs, and I love them both–so it's led me to want some indigo 555s.  Now I can see a little bit more of how they compare.  Thanks!

if i were to compare my 555-03 30 W to my 301s 32 W i'd say the thighs and top block are far more restrictive in the 555 cut.  they both measured the same in the waist.  i traded my 30 for a 31 and i should have that soon.  i'll compare as soon as i get em.

agreed on the top block rbg. i've had these in a 36 & they just ended up being too big for me.  i let them go for a song when i got the 555-03s, but when another pair came up on the market for a great price & the measurements looked like they would work i couldn't not get them.

bertoni no need to hesitate as i think you will have a hard time finding a pair of 9301s & the 555-03 are a really nice jean.  i really shouldn't even be coparing them as the 555-03 are made to fade while the 9301 not soooo much 

mr. dead, i'm a hoarding Iron Heart addict and can not choose one pair over the other, both have details that i admire & i think they both do a great job of covering my rump.  you've no idea of my sickness

I have the 9301's, 301's, 7301's, 555-03 and the 555-01's.  The 555 series definitely fits a little tighter in the top block compared to the 301 series.  I find on the 301's that I have extra space on the side of my hips.  I like both but prefer the overall fit of the 555's and the visible selvedge.

got my 9301 today and it definitely comes up bigger compared to the 301s or the 7301s.
