The inevitable (but we were hoping for a miracle…) has happened.  Paula's hair is falling out and she's pretty miz about it.  I've just bought her one of these, that should sort things out.....

How is she feeling otherwise? I hope the sickness doesn't get too bad.

Well, we've only done 2 chemo's and we know the effects are cumulative, so it is early days.  But what we have learnt is that she really needs rest and no pressure for 3 days after the chemo.  Whilst last weekend was a ball, it really hit her hard….

While we've never met, anyone who deals with the guy above me deserves some well wishes. All joking aside, too many great ladies in my life have been taken by cancer, would not want to see it happen to one I have yet to meet. Keep strong and vibrant, rest when you can, and use every opportunity you can to push the extra load onto Giles.

My mother's been fighting a lymphoma for six or seven years, so I've seen a lot of this firsthand. The hair loss was always something that upset her a lot too.

However, it does give an excuse to wear a pirate style bandana!

Still, unlike my less-than-luxuriant bouffant, Paula's will grow back… :o
