Here's a long overdue update of my contest jeans.  Based on the rate that these fade I won't be in the running for any prizes.

Looks like I'm about due for some preventative maintenance. Hopefully with my limited wear schedule, these will last me until early spring. Nothing beats IH's impenetrable 23oz denim when it's freezing cold outside.

Projectors offer a much wider beam and, since the light has a precise cutoff, allow the light to be brighter without being "that guy" that blinds every oncoming car. The projectors I retrofitted were salvaged from an Acura TSX so they weren't all that expensive. I did the work myself which negates the brunt of the cost.

It isn't THAT big of a deal, but I had the headlights open anyway and decided to go for it.

I promised to take some photos on my trip home, but ended up with just a few cellphone shots. Hope you enjoy them nevertheless.

The hems are a mess now. Ripping roping, loose threads everywhere (some restitched, some not) and worn through fabric. I'm thinking of getting another chainstitching done on top of the old one.

I'll be at the sea some days and wear these jeans, then wash them and then hopefully add the UES to the rotation. Have a nice new year's party, everyone!

I've been rotating these with 2 pairs of Trophy and a pair of Jelado jeans (as basically I have no hopes of winning, and would probably be declared the worlds biggest cheat if I did). The facings and indigo loss don't match that of others, but it is all honest wear, and fading exactly to my body, which to me is what this thing is all about.
