I'm a 32" (maybe very slightly less) waist and went for size 30. They do shrink quite a lot after an initial soak but only very slightly in the waist in my experience. The width on the leg after a soak is slim but not too slim, which is exactly what I was after. There's a nice heavy weight to the cloth. I'd say sizing down by two would be the way to go in most cases.

I can get a fit pic later on if it would be helpful?

I tried on the navy N-1 at Blue in Green today, and I am totally in love. Trying to scrounge up the funds to buy one.

Picked up the navy N-1 from Blue in Green today. Couldn't pass it up. It's cold as hell in NYC so we'll see how warm it is. Fit pics when I get a chance.

Hey Mcclain, do you sinch the waist on your N-1? It feels kind of drafty at the bottom of the jacket, I keep pulling the strings tighter but can't keep them tight. Am I missing something?

I don't. Are you drawing them tight and then knotting them?  They don't have toggles or anything to make them stay drawn. Did they come with slip knots on them?  I believe you are supposed to "move" that slip knot further up the string in order to tighten that up. Is this making sense, kinda hard to describe.

                              Think it, be it.

Yeah, that makes sense. I was actually thinking about adding toggles to keep them tightened. Other than the draft near my waist, the jacket is hella warm! And the fit is so perfect. Really happy with it.

Glad to hear, hope you can get that draft deal figured out.  Mine I think is snug enough, or perhaps I layer enough under it, to where that hasn't been an issue.  The insulation is super warm though and wind has zero chance.

I don't feel drafty at the bottom of the N1 jacket; could be that you sized up and have some room left around the waist? Mine is quite snug all around

Slab, I got a 36 which is pretty snug. I could have gone up to a 38 for more layering but it looked too sloppy, IMO. I wore it last night and it wasn't a problem, seems to only bother me if it's really windy. Your fit pic helped sell me on getting it, so thanks!
