From what I see, body length seems to be good but arm length appears to be 0.5 inches short

I would recommend changing to size 40.  The sleeves and body look short and it looks like you don't have a lot of room the shoulders.

I really Iike that fit but I do like jackets/shirts on the shorter side. What are you hesitant about? Does the chest feel tight at all or reasonably loose? From what I can see it all looks really good and if the chest and shoulders are comfortable then I personally feel that a 40 might look a little sloppy.

My vote is 40. We all have different preferences in terms of fit, but nothing irritates me more than short sleeves.

Take a size over. Not good to be short in the arms and length with a winter deck. It can works if It was a denim jacket type III. This was my opinion 😉 good luck man.

Thanks to everyone who has replied, really appreciate your time.

Seems the general consensus is the same as my gut feeling about the jacket.

Of course since I chose to go for 38 the 40 is now sold out at Superdenim. Had a feeling whichever I chose was going to be the wrong one!

Since getting switched onto the brand a couple of months back I've bought a couple of sweats, the 004 denim, DD chinos, a couple of shirts and basic t's and have got the sizing right first time on everything. I suppose my good run was due to come to an end!

Can you say something about the fit on the DD chinos? Seems they run large in the waist so size down shuld be the case?

I'm a 32" (maybe very slightly less) waist and went for size 30. They do shrink quite a lot after an initial soak but only very slightly in the waist in my experience. The width on the leg after a soak is slim but not too slim, which is exactly what I was after. There's a nice heavy weight to the cloth. I'd say sizing down by two would be the way to go in most cases.

I can get a fit pic later on if it would be helpful?

Inventory Stockroom is going to be getting this Jacket…. Contact them and see if you can reserve a 40.... I think they should have it in a week

I tried on the navy N-1 at Blue in Green today, and I am totally in love. Trying to scrounge up the funds to buy one.

Hey Mcclain, do you sinch the waist on your N-1? It feels kind of drafty at the bottom of the jacket, I keep pulling the strings tighter but can't keep them tight. Am I missing something?

I don't. Are you drawing them tight and then knotting them?  They don't have toggles or anything to make them stay drawn. Did they come with slip knots on them?  I believe you are supposed to "move" that slip knot further up the string in order to tighten that up. Is this making sense, kinda hard to describe.
