The recording was made with a bunch of vintage-inspired valve (tube) condenser mics, so it sounds amazing.

i very rarely listen to hip hop, but there always seem to be one album each year that really speaks to me. last years album was aesop rock - skelethon. this year its killer mike & el-p - run the jewels.

Still putting together my list of albums of the year, but this one is on it. I massacred he bejesus out of the jewel case opening it. My Ohta damn near cut through the whole cover cutting off the cellophane.  The second disc was so hard to get out I nearly snapped it in two. I guess I forgot how to CD.
