          g,

did you bring home the sample to start putting some wear on it?

i want to see what these look like after 6 months.

            I did indeed.

I wore them for a day and realised that getting them to stretch enough for them to become my everyday beaters was a triumph of hope over reason.

I gave them to Alex last night (who is about 1.5" smaller in the waist than me) with the instructions (in Anesthetist's words) "to beat the snot out of 'em"

Nice Alex!.. Those different arcs are deliciously silly!.. Oh and anyone preferring the indigo one is out of his damn mind (but we've been over this)  😎 😃 😉

….and Alex says this denim is the most unforgiving and brutal that he has experienced....

                            The jeans are looking great.

I shouldn't attempt humour after 10 beers. Time for bed.

I saw this sample pair on the Iron Heart Instagram and was thrown off by the different pocket stitching.  After finding this forum thread, I'm really excited to see how the production model turns out.

                                  Definitely interesting stuff!

Man, now I need to decide if I should go with the 634-UHR or these in the 634…

                                      Both.

I'm lucky the 634uhr is the last of the three being released, stagers the money going out.

I asked Haraki to make this denim this morning.  I got the following response "I've already started".  I guess he knew there was never any doubt…

I did say that Jeans made from this denim would be more expensive than Indigo warp/white weft.  This is because both the weft and the warp need to be rope dyed, which doubles the cost of the dying part of the manufacturing process.  I now have some handle on that, expect the indigo/indigo jeans to be approx USD375 - USD385 depending upon model.

Alex update.  Alex again asserts that this is the toughest denim he has yet had to break in - I'm thinking that this may be that the indigo dyed weft is inherently stiffer than the plain weft...
