IH-535 - Waterproof/Breathable "Pertex Shield" Shell

A quick fit pic of the IH-535/IHJ-08 combo:

Initial thoughts/impressions:

• the Pertex shell feels tougher and slightly thicker than most Gortex I've handled.
• doubled with the IHJ-08, this thing keeps you toasty warm.
• plenty of pockets in both jackets.
• I'm glad there is a draw string around the waist.  This will help seal in heat and keep out wind (the IHJ-08 doesn't have this feature).

It won't be very exciting, it'll be a bubble of water not soaking in.

Just a suggestion for next year's model, but I often wear a Gore Tex jacket over my leathers whilst on a bike for rain protection. I find that a hood gets pulled back in the wind at motorway speeds, and will start to strangle me. This isn't very comfortable.

If Haraki wants to target bikers with the next iteration, then either have a removal or roll-up hood.

Motorcycle compatibility aside, it looks a cool jacket.

There is.  It works super well as a light weight breathable shell.  I no longer have it, as Alex "appropriated" it…

With all the "mountain parka" craziness going on the last few days, glad I was able to get the "style" without all the subsequent "heat" lol - will definitely like to see how the fit tames down once is has been washed and worn a bit.
