For the meantime I think that they'll be wearing you rather than the other way round. it was only a few months ago that I first realised "hang on, I'm not actually climbing into these anymore". That was a good day :).

      Give them hell… :).

I wore them for 6 hours at work, hardly stopped walking too.
To be honest i didn't experience any unusual pain or any discomfort at all!
Except a teeny bit sore behind the knee, but i get that with all new jeans.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm considering buying a pair of these sight-unseen for christmas, which is a terrifying prospect. (raw denim in the American midwest….it's tough)

Right now I'm in my first pair of raws, N&F Weird Guys, and I really like the fit. Based on the measurements, these should line up ok, but I'm wondering if anyone has any first-hand experience going from Weird Guys to IH? Specifically...are these or the beetle busters going to be a better match?

(my other option is to wait until next March, when I'll be in NYC....but who wants to wait that long?)

I used to have a couple of weirdguys back in the day, and can confidently say that IH do not make a cut that is similar. The closest IH cut is probably the 301 from Selfedge.

The 666 model is awesome, but notably different from your WG cut in the following ways:

                  • much higher rise
                  • less taper from knee down

The Beatle buster has an equally higher rise, and even less taper.

The fit of IH might take you take some time to adapt to, but you will instantly notice the high quality of construction.

                  All the best!

Interesting. I measured my weird guys this morning and came up with this:

Waist 41 (it's probably an inch bigger than I need, at least)
                    F Rise 11.5
                    B Rise 16
                    Thigh 14
                    Knee 10
                    Leg Opening 8.75
                    Inseam 35

And the 666xhs in 38 has about .5 inches more rise, and .75 inches less taper. Thanks for the spot-on info!

Giles, These really are the highest quality jeans I have ever seen. The denim is so tightly woven, so silky to the touch. Artistry in denim! The Navy blues and the electric blues are truly beautiful. That you, from the bottom of my heart.

Ive worn these for 2 months now, and Ive had 1 initial soak.
Iam not crazy about "sick fadez", I just want the jeans to hold as long as possible… should I soak/wash them every other month to keep them relatively clean and keep the cotton nice and clean?

And another thing, its probably nothing to it, but I imagine that the beautiful electric blue that comes from gentle fading, kind of dissapears/flaten out when the jeans are washed.. Iam out of my mind, or is it something to it?

                                  Yes

No, you should still get that, it is just the lower layers of indigo popping out- or at least the white core of the warp peeping through fewer layers of indigo (Rope dying adds layer upon layer of oxidised indigo in the dyeing process)…...

And I should do the soaking inside out, right?
Maybe with a little wool-lite, or some other mild detergent?

I always soak the jeans without turning them inside out. No need to do that. And also no need to add detergent, then it would be a (gentle) wash, not a soak 😉

So soaking them will be good for the cotton, and get them a bit cleaner?

Soaking will most of all get the starch out (turning the water green / yellow) and thus make the jeans softer. This enhances their lifespan.
