I'm loving these jeans more and more every day.
They aren't stiff as an iron plank now…
Softened out to a wooden plank 😃

Ive worn these for 2 months now, and Ive had 1 initial soak.
Iam not crazy about "sick fadez", I just want the jeans to hold as long as possible… should I soak/wash them every other month to keep them relatively clean and keep the cotton nice and clean?

And another thing, its probably nothing to it, but I imagine that the beautiful electric blue that comes from gentle fading, kind of dissapears/flaten out when the jeans are washed.. Iam out of my mind, or is it something to it?

              Yes

No, you should still get that, it is just the lower layers of indigo popping out- or at least the white core of the warp peeping through fewer layers of indigo (Rope dying adds layer upon layer of oxidised indigo in the dyeing process)…...

                Thanks Giles!

And I should do the soaking inside out, right?
Maybe with a little wool-lite, or some other mild detergent?

I always soak the jeans without turning them inside out. No need to do that. And also no need to add detergent, then it would be a (gentle) wash, not a soak 😉

So soaking them will be good for the cotton, and get them a bit cleaner?
                    Thanks for good answers!

Yeah I don't turn em inside out…. They're just jeans throw em in a soak or hot wash as it will help strengthen stitching but besides that... Who cares ... Wabi sabi kemosabe

Soaking will most of all get the starch out (turning the water green / yellow) and thus make the jeans softer. This enhances their lifespan.

Ive had one initial soak, so most of the starch is probably gone.
Yes, theyre just jeans, but its $450-jeans.. that dont make them just jeans to me..

If you've already soaked them, then you're good to go. Just wear 'em!

The devils are soaking now.. I gave them 1 initial soak before I started to wear them, but it didnt feel like the starch was gone… The jeans are even now, very stiff, and no softening up in sight!
But maybe they will soften up a little after the second soak..

They won't, you'll have to wear the softness into them….

And every time u soak/wash they become super stiff again from hang drying. So dont get discouraged, just giver!

Yes I know, but they`ll soften up pretty quickly after that 🙂
Anyways, I like to keep my jeans neat and clean!

After a couple of months, they'll be soft. Or you could just buy a new pair every month if you wanna keep 'm clean…

The jeans are finally dry.. Theyre not as stiff as they were after the initial soak, so theyre a bit more comfortable 🙂
