Thanks, it was pretty much a given that it'd fit from the moment I'd got my arm through the first sleeve… Which was a "problem" I had with all TFH shirts I tried on. Originally I'd tried on a 38 in some of the flannels but they were just a touch too tight in the chest.

I also love the MOP snaps, and especially the placement on the breast pockets.

ive looked and looed and looked, and have yet to find any; however, can anyone tell me if flathead makes any straight cuts that have a post soak of 37"+ inseam? typically I wear a 30 waist in samurai and IH for reference. I really like the charactereistics of some oftheir denim but just dont like how skinny my se-5bsp look on me. They aren't too tight really, just look weird for some one as tall and long legged as me to wear such a skinny cut if that makes sense.

Get the 1005s, they're a straight cut with about a 96 cm pre-soak inseam, and they don't shrink a lot.  You can also stretch out the inseam when they're wet.  Unlike other FH models, you will want to size down, the denim is stretchier than the 14.5 oz.

Do you mind posting your pre and post soak measurements of your 3009 and what tag size?

                  Hi Tatmantall.

I'm 6.5, and i also have the 5bsp, mainly because i couldn't resist the ekstra long inseam. The days of walking up and down the streets of copenhagen to find a decent pair of jeans being long enough is finally over, thanks to the small people of japan :)…..Hope i'm not offending anybody.

A little (maybe) relevant info. My unsanforized denim such as IH666s and Samurai S5000VX-25oz, i was actually able to pull the inseam when damp, so it's exactly the same length as when i got them. The inseam Scrinkage was about 2 inches after two smoking hot soakes. I know it's not rocket science, but if your'e not able to pull hard enough while standing up, try this : You need a car, a towel (or some other fabric), and some flat wood. 1 :Put the damp jeans flat on the ground, wrap the towel around the upper part, and put the wood on top, laying as if you where measuring the thigh.  2: park the car with one wheel on the jeans (heaviest end depending on car model), so that only the part from where you measure the thigh is visible. 3 : exercise your back so it's warm and ready to work hard for a few explosive seconds. 4: Put your feet up against the wheel, and pull.

Well the very short info was this. When i buy jeans i don't worry about the inseam anymore, cause i'm able to pull them back to the original length.

                  Enjoy 🙂

                        I understand the confusion 😉

I have a few other jeans trick, e.g. if the thighs are to tight and need a little expansion.
In this case you can use a jack to lift a car with, and two pieces of wood. I did that with my sex13-23oz and it worked fine. You can also remove about 0,2-0,5 inches extra from the leg opening with the help from almost boiling water and a hair dryer.
And if you want a longer backrise, you can borrow a small plane and let the top block hang out the window and then make a loop under a rainy cloud…....
Havent tried that last one yet but it should work just fine 🙂

                        Enjoy denim nerds 🙂

Took this jacket for myself from The Flat Head. The DJ-008 jacket is made with English White Duck down filling (90% down, 10% feathers). 100% nylon exterior & treated for added water resistance.
The inside is made of quilted rayon. reminds me of the lining of a Lewis Leathers jacket. The neck boa is made of acrylic and other details include inner ribbing, original FH zippers, and patches.

I usually don't jump on impulse buys, but the indigo/cream houndstooth heavy flannel looks wicked nice.  Damn damn damn,  I should have shown restraint, but I imagine they will sell out quick.  First purchase from Rivet and Hide.

Indeed, what a gorgeous looking shirt.  The craftsmanship looks exceptional, as always with TFH.  I had one of their deerskin leather shirts briefly (after the various IHAS-01s I had made didn't work for me) and it was probably the most exquisite item of clothing I ever owned.  Sadly the sizing just didn't work so I had to return it.  Anyway - great shirt Danny, I am sure it will be a great seller.
