          You need a speaker or speakers from them as well as their bridge.  Don't have to have the bridge but if you don't you'll need at least one speaker directly connected to your modem to create a network.  Oh and you need Internet

            Got it so wireless bridge + (2) play 1 + sub + play bar= kickass minimalist home theater?

              Haha pretty much.  I also have 2 play3's.  Just as a reference.  I don't have a bridge currently because my wireless router is on my TV stand which is then directly connected to my playbar creating my SONOS network.

                Thanks man I'm sure I will have plenty. Just starting researching now. I had a Yamaha YSP-1100 but, I needed more hdmi ports so that went to the bedroom. I replaced it with a Bose Cinemate but, the sound was never full like the Yamaha. This is what prompted me to look at Sonos. It's hard to run wires because I live in a townhouse and I like the minimalist approach of Sonos

                  If you're looking for TV sound then you have to have a playbar.  It's the only speaker with an optical connection.  I've said this before and I'll say it again.  If you're getting SONOS for just TV you might be disappointed.  It's really not perfected yet or may never be for TV.  SONOS is designed for music first and foremost

                      That's roughly what I'm thinking about getting. I don't know how well it'll work, but being able to have a wireless set-up without a separate amp means that it's a lot easier to move. And I do that quite a lot.

                      The Play:1 is being bundled with a free wireless bridge at present.

                          @Snowy:

                          Pretty close to pulling the trigger on the Play:1. It's nearly $300AUD landed over this way vs $205AUD when purchased from Amazon. Of course Amazon won't ship to AU, which means I need to figure out a proxy and the cost of shipping from there to AU. It's 6 pounds. Well, that's my internal monologue for you.

                          Hey snowy I know vaf in Adelaide do them, not sure of there cost though.

                              I ended up ordering a Play:1 on the weekend. I ordered locally as I imagined after taking advantage of Gile's kind offer I'd only be about 20-30 ahead.

                                Turns out that "locally" was a HK shop front that is yet to fulfil my order 😡. Have been hitting Brick and Mortar shops for the last week, finally found 1 with a Play:1 in stock.

                                Grouped it with my existing Play:3, first thought "Holy shit this is awesome".

                                Play:3 in front of me, Play:1 behind me. Looks like I'll be getting another Play:1 at some point (this Play:1 is for the bedroom).

                                  I got a Playbar and Sub the other day. Surprisingly easy to set up, and when combined with the (free?) bundled edition of Spotify is a fantastic combination.

                                  As Giles said, people pick it up easily. Trail and Arrow has hijacked my system now. 🙂

                                        If you like Zep, search Spotify for the symphonic version of Kashmir, which was done by Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke.
