Glad you're keeping it mega! Glad I didn't pull the trigger when I saw it on eBay. You don't want to give that awesomeness up, sell a kidney or something. Still looking for a L/XL in green. Anybody????????

I'm wondering how much they might possibly shrink in the (Chest) after they are washed.

…With that in mind has anyone washed theirs and found any "shrinkage" through the (Chest) area?
...If Yes, approximately how much (...1/8 inch, ...1/4 inch, ...etc.) in the (Chest) area from their initial IH UK measurements when new?

Is the (RED) to be re-stocked in size (L) or (XL)?

Thanks, Z! I do wear this shirt almost everyday now, it's so damn comfy. And then there's something else I could say regarding my favorite IH shirt ever. But you would call me crazy (even if it's in a good way).

D97x7 measured his size XL after a couple of washes and the chest was 22.5".

Say what you will about the 06, 20 or the 72, IMO the 72 is the most wearable fabric of the three.

never touched a 72, send yours my way zee.

the 06 is a nice mid weight shirt and the 20 is the heaviest shirt i have ever placed on my back.

                              Thanks (…for the reply)!

At (22.5") it's almost a full inch of "Shrink" off the (23.4") listed size for the (XL).

Can you also tell me how was it (WASHED: Cold vs. Hot) and (DRIED: Hung-Dry vs. Dryer on high heat)?

Was just wondering if your intention was to "Shrink" it a bit on purpose.
(...Or, if that's about the average amount of "Shrink" to be expected.)

                              ??

i can't say for sure with the 72, but with my other IH flannels i cold washed and hung dry and didn't see a substantial amount of shrinkage.  They also stretched back out after wearing them for a little while.  Hope that helps.

Just normal 40C washing, hung on a line to dry, I didn't intend to shrink it and suspect that if I ironed it, it would soon stretch back out again.

Long time no see. 😉 I wanted this shirt so bad and when I got it, I had to realize that it was to roomy around the body. The fit on the shoulders and arms was good. So I decide to let Mr. Ruttloff make the shirt smaler on the body. Now it fits perfect under my Schmidt jacket.
I washed it at 60° and it shrank a bit in the lenght and the arms.

That looks like a perfect fit.

My '72 is quite big around the chest too but I'd never thought to have a tailor make it smaller.
