Yeah, but his wrists are the size of my ankles.  I've seen pictures of him wearing that giant Invicta Russian Diver, which is 50mm, I think, and it looks normal sized on him.

I've got reasonably big wrists and huge hands, and the Type 20 is borderline ridiculous on me. It looks more reasonable from a distance, though, but a lot of these things do.

So if I wanted to wear one, I'd have to live on a diet of steroids, and lift ridiculous weights. No wonder I'm starting to see a few on the secondary market. 🙂

            OK.  I am considering a major Volte-face.

There are a couple of bits of machinery I would like to invest in for the office - more info soon….But I think you will likey....

So I'm going to knock the Blancpain 50 Fathoms on the head.

Unfortunately that is the B&R logo.  It's like asking for the & to be taken out of Black& Decker logo because it is in a different type face to the Black and the Decker…...Won't happen..... 😠

I have a BR03-92 and I chose it for two reasons:
The unusual shape, which isn't the case with that model
And the simplicity of the face along with the awesome font of the numbers, which is on your selection

4 years on and I still love it.

Hmm i just thought you might like it for the quality (rolex standards and modified Eta movement) and reasonable pricing. I do not own it but my eyes are always around em. Black bay is strange to some because of the hour indicator but i like the looks and history of this watch. For a daily beater certainly not bad.

                                Cheers,

The Black Bay is really nice, and on my list for next year, although I'm also considering a Bremont.

Love it.  I love B&R and a more classic case shape like this is good to see.  The Panerai-esque numerals are terrific too, great face.

                                        Think it, be it.

Water resistance ratings are always something of a debate, it seems, but I prefer 200M or better.  You actually go in the ocean regularly, so 100M might be a bit low.  Otherwise, it's a nice classic looking watch.  It uses an ETA 2892 movement, which is quite good, by all accounts, and has a sapphire crystal, which is an absolute must for me.  I'd say that if the price is good, there's no reason you shouldn't get it.
